The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.

Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Save us from the time of trial
and deliver us from evil.

For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours
now and forever. Amen.

We read in the Gospels when the Disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray, what he gave them was the Lord's Prayer. No doubt said millions of times every day, in all manner of situations, and for all sorts and conditions of folk. There are four aspects to prayer, Intercession, Thanksgiving, Confession, and Adoration, sometimes described as Please and Thankyou, Oops and WOW! All these elements are found in the Lord's Prayer. Pray is slowly, pray it fast, pray it daily, and as you pray remember who taught us to pray this way.
