Sacraments

Sacraments are first and foremost always signs pointing to the encounter with God. In this world of time and space we know that there are moments when we touch on that which is beyond time and space, and whilst we never quite grasp it, we are aware that we have brushed with that which is beyond.

In the Church we have always held a most special place for the two sacraments specifically commanded by Jesus, Baptism and Eucharist, and have held in high place Confirmation, Marriage, Anointing, Reconciliation, and Ordination. 

There are of course many other moments when we are often aware of the touch of the divine. You can not stand in the dawn of many of the misty fields of our region and not be conscious of the wonder nad the majesty of God.
