 Working Bee There will be a working bee on Saturday December 5th starting at 9.00am to tidy the church grounds-surrounds for the Advent-Christmas season.  All help greatly appreciated.

Electoral Roll  We have recently sent letters to all people on our parish electoral roll asking if they want to recommit themselves, as over the years names have come onto our roll, but through many reasons, as our congregations have changed the roll has not. This roll affects the way we plan and organize the work of the parish.  If you have not received a letter or have recently joined us and would like to be on the electoral roll please fill in a form available from each of the Parish Churches and return it by Advent Sunday.

Disaster Appeal  Parish Council have decided to use Care Australia for anyone wishing to give money in support of the people of the recent natural disasters.  Should you wish to make a donation please put it in an envelope marked “Disaster Appeal” and place in the offertory plate.

  • Setting up on Friday afternoon
  • Donations for a giant hamper.  Non perishable goods can be left at the rear of Christ Church or at the parish office.  (This will be our only raffle)
  • Cakes, savouries, jams, produce, books, plants, small saleable trash and treasure items
  • If you would like to donate some cake mixes, there are people who are willing to make these up
  • Assisting on any of the stalls

NOTICE BOARD.

As of the 1st September the pathway from the lych gate past the Garden of Remembrance is closed to traffic.  Not only will this keep this area for people to move freely and safely in and out of church and to visit the garden, it will reduce costly damage to the underground service supplies which run beneath this path.  Thankyou for your understanding.

The next Fellowship Lunch will be held at Alexandra House at 12 noon on Tuesday 8th September.  All welcome.

GIVING ENVELOPES

We are considering changing the style of our giving envelopes, which are expensive, to a newer style printed locally at almost half the cost.  If you have any comments of this proposal please contact Neville Mason or Fr Richard

Anyone wishing to display items on the new notice boards in the entrance of Christ Church, please bring them to the Parish Office for laminating
