The Annual General Meeting will be held on 26th July following the Parish Mass at 10.00am.  A Parish Luncheon COOKED BY FR RICHARD will be served after the AGM at $10 each to help cover costs.

All reports to please be handed in by 5th July so that they can be prepared and distributed in the weeks leading up to the AGM.

Nominations for Council Members are required to be handed in by 11th July.  One representative from St Mary’s-Dunkeld, St Peter’s-Glenthompson, St Mark’s-Cavendish and All Saints-Penshurst.  Four representatives from Christ Church-Hamilton.  Nomination forms supplied for each Parish church.

Any other business is to be in writing and received by the Chair by 11th July, please.

 A big thankyou to all who assisted with the Tea Dance.  It was a great success and is back by popular demand on Friday 3rd July.  Come and enjoy a pleasant social afternoon.  If anyone can assist with baking for afternoon tea or general assistance, please see one of the Fundraising Team.

The Book fair has concluded. very big thank you to everyone who has helped out in so many different ways.  We should be very proud of our efforts in raising over $14,000.  May God bless all those who have been involved and those who have bought the books!

 

Thank you again to everyone who Lent myself and my family furniture and other domestic items over the last weeks.  Our things have now finally arrived! Please give us a call to arrange to pick up your things from next Sunday onwards! Thank you once again! Fr Richard.

 Our third week of the Book Fair has been very successful  This year the monies raised will be given to Fistula Hospital, Addis Abbiba, SHANKS, Francis Foundation and ABM Literacy and Numeracy Project in Vanuatu.   Details on the notice board. Thanks to all the helpers.  A total of $9300 has been raised so far.  A fantastic result.

 There will be NO Scottish Country Dancing this Tuesday.

 On Saturday 11th at 9.00 am Christ Church will be cleaned and prepared for Easter Day.  Please all come along and help to prepare for this joyous day. 

CHRISM MASS—On Monday please pray for the clergy as they gather together to renew their priestly vows and receive the Holy Oils for use in our churches.

A new Sacristan is required to take over from Shirley as she has finally ran out of steam! Her last Sunday will be 15th March. A BIG THANK YOU to Shirley for her dedicated work over many years. Well done!

During Lent

Stations of the Cross will be held on Wednesdays at 6.00pm followed by Discovering the Gospels. A week by week journey through the gospels, learning and discovering the message of Christ to us and to those around us. Please feel free to join us on our journey together. No experience necessary! Drop in one week or more – up to you. Fr Richard.

The A.W.G. will meet on Thursday for their meeting following the Eucharist at 1.30pm

Bush fire Appeal

So far we have raised $539.00 towards the Red Cross bushfires Appeal. Thank you for all your kind generosity. Fr Richard. Receipts are available from Marjorie.

Billets and casseroles are needed for 90 walkers for Lifewalk on Easter Monday—more details later The Assembly of God church is hosting the meal venue.
