From Fr Peter Yeats

I know that there are at present many calls for financial and material help for those so badly affected by the Bush Fires, and all such appeals are to be commended. But I would like to suggest one more, which might not receive much from elsewhere.

Our neighbouring diocese of Bendigo was hit quite hard by the fires on February the 7th, suffering a lot of property loss. As a response, Bishop Andrew Curnow has seconded a priest to act as a Community Chaplain within the affected area, to work among all the people.

This is a great initiative, but obviously needs financial support. If you feel that you would like to support this project, please contact the diocese of Bendigo directly:

Ph – (03) 5443 4711       Email – registry@bendigoanglican.org.au

(PO Box 2) 8 Meyers Street , Bendigo Vic. 3552

I hope that we will be able to support our brothers & sisters in this project.

Yours in Christ, Peter
